E-Safety

E-safety, (also referred to as online safety, cyber safety and internet safety), is about keeping children (and adults) safe on the internet.  It is about the act of maximising a user's awareness of personal safety and security risks to private information and property associated with using the internet, and the self-protection from computer crime.

At St. Peter's, e-safety is a thread which runs throughout our curriculum and safeguarding practices.  From PSHE and Computing lessons, to the promotion of Internet Safety Day and bespoke assemblies, we aim to equip children with the knowledge, skills and judgement in order to keep themselves safe online as they progress throughout their childhood and into adulthood.  We also work proactively with parents, carers and our wider school community to keep internet safety top of everyone's priorities.
